1. The Service

GumLeaf ("the Service") answers questions sent by SMS, including weather summaries and general information, using automated systems including third-party AI models. By texting the Service you agree to these terms.

2. Informational use only, not a safety, emergency, or advice service

The Service provides general informational content only. It is not an emergency service, a navigation aid, a medical, legal, or financial advisor, or a substitute for professional judgment. Answers may be incomplete, outdated, delayed, or simply wrong. SMS delivery, particularly over satellite connections, is not guaranteed and may fail without notice.

You must never rely on the Service in any situation where a missing, delayed, or incorrect answer could contribute to harm to persons or property. In an emergency, contact local emergency services (e.g. 911, 112) or use your device's dedicated SOS features.

3. Plans, billing, and refunds

• Free plan: 3 answered messages per phone number per calendar month.
• GumLeaf Plus: $4.99/month or $49.99/year, up to 50 answered messages per month (a fair-use cap), billed through Stripe, which handles all payment processing under its own terms. Cancel anytime via the subscription-management link on your Stripe receipt or by contacting us.
• One subscription covers one phone number at a time. To move it to a different number, contact us from the email used at checkout.
• Plus includes short-term conversation memory so follow-up questions keep context.
• Standard message and data rates from your carrier or satellite provider apply and are your responsibility.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to seek or disseminate content that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive; to harass any person; to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service; or to resell answers. We may refuse service, decline to answer particular messages, or suspend numbers that violate these terms or abuse the Service.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

6. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GUMLEAF AND ITS OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOST PROFITS, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON ANY ANSWER OR FROM FAILED OR DELAYED MESSAGE DELIVERY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE. IN ALL CASES, TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

7. Changes and termination

We may modify or discontinue the Service or these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may terminate access for violation of these terms.
